THE LESS THIRSTY PLANTS

Nature has gifted us with millions of plants to make our lives colorful and fresh. Taking care of plants is a great responsibility. There are some plants that are too delicate to handle and need extra care, but on the other hand there are plants that do not ask you for frequent watering or any other care. Such plants are known as drought tolerant plants. There are several types of drought tolerant plants;  some of them are listed below.
BLACKBERRY LILY
Blackberry lilies are not exactly lilies but you may call them a look alike of many other types of lilies. They are native to Asia and were once used to make Chinese herbal medicines to cure different diseases. Once people discovered about the blackberry lily it become known and gained rapid popularity among the masses. It bears orange colored flowers with unique red spots that make people call it a tiger lily. Its foliage resembles that of an iris. It bears numerous flowers that emerge daily on top of stems that are open branched. After weeks of full bloom the seed pods come into being that are seed clusters. As far as botanical experts are concerned the blackberry lily that is not exactly a lily resembles the iris more than a lily. It belongs to zones 5-9.it can grow up to 30 “tall and 20” wide. It blooms from early summer to the middle of the season. It can either be planted in full sun or half sun /half shade. Though it is native to japan and china but it has the ability to naturalize itself in NorthAmerica. According to some experts it is the family member of iris. The only reason why it is called blackberry is its seeds that resemble blackberry. It is planted in summer and spring. It attracts birds and looks great if used in dried flower arrangements.
WALKERS LOW CATMINT

There is a wonderful looking flower delivery philippines plant with grey-green foliage and pretty spikes of blue –purple flowers that is found in most of the summer gardens that belong to flower lovers. These can be excellent as ground covers and can even use as cascading container edges and off walls. It belongs to zones 3-8.it can be easily grown in partial sun and full sun. It can grow up to the height of 36” and can spread up to 36”.It starts blooming near the end of spring and keeps on doing so till mid-summer. It can be planted in spring and summer. It attracts butterflies and hummingbirds.
