Nature has provided  us thousands of different  types of flowers ,some of them are good for gardens while others look great in containers, some needs support to grow properly while other grow erect on their own. There are endless varieties of flowers available for us to use according to our requirements. On one hand there are flowers that are edible and can be ingested easily and are used in making medicines while on the other hand there are flowers that are to poisonous to grow at places where animals and children are around.
The most commonly used flowers are the ones that are available with the florists and are used as gifts and source of decoration for every occasion. The following are some flowers that look simply exquisite when used as cut flowers.
ALSTROEMERIA AURANTIACA “EVERGREEN PERUVIAN LILY”
Alstroemeria Aurantiaca is the botanical name for a well-known perennial beauty commonly known as the evergreen Peruvian lily. It is famous for its ability to produce long lasting blooms to be used as cut flowers. The plant that bears this beautiful gift of nature can grow up to 3 feet tall. The blooms resemble the famous orchids in appearance that are soft peach in color that are generously sprinkled with deep maroon and purple dots and streaks. It likes to grow in well-drained but rich soil. It can grow in full sun or partial shade. It looks just wonderful if planted on sloping banks or in a container. It has the habit of invading in other places and bothers other plants so one has to keep this habit of the plant before selecting a place for planting Peruvian Lily.
