CALENDULA

Nature has provided man with several blessing that are used for different purposes. Among all the bounties of nature flowers are thought as thing of beauty and are used to add color and brightness to life. Flowers are not only used to beautify and add color and fragrance to life but are also used in teas and preparation of medicines that are very useful to cure many diseases. Though there are dozens of flowers that may be used for medicinal purposes but today the entire introduction is for calendula.
SIGNIFICANCE OF CALENDULA BON BON
The yellow calendula is also known as bon bon calendula.it is one of the most ancient flowers that are known for its ornamental and medicinal purposes. People used to plant it in their gardens to enhance the beauty of their garden as well as its uses as a herb.it is known as a poor man’s saffron because in dried form it is used in culinary dishes.in ancient times it was used to add color to cheese and butter. There was a time when it was used to treat measles and small pox.in battlefield it was used as a dressing for wounds.it is considered as a traditional flower for birthdays in October and is known for its use to symbolize sorrow and sympathy. Though calendula has the ability to adapt to almost any kind of soil but the poor or average but moist soil is the most suitable for it.it grows best in climatic regions where the summers are not too hot.
Calendula or pot marigold is the annual that likes to grow in full or partial sun.it can grow up to 12” in height and 12” in width.it is a drought tolerate flower so it does not need soil that has too much moisture.it grows with medium where I can do flower delivery manila? speed and is usually planted in sandy or loamy soil.it grows in erect position.

The calendula has fully double flowers. This annual is a bushy plant that originates from Mediterranean and Europe. The flowers of calendula come in many colors like cream, yellow bronze and orange. They are great source of attraction for bees and butterflies. The color of calendula foliage is green. The petals of the marigold flower are edible and are used to enhance the flavor of salads. Many gardeners like this annual for being highly rewarding and long blooming. The flowering of calendula can be enhanced by regular deadheading.
