However, guests may use pink roses indicating happiness for gifting it to the couple.  On the other hand, being greatly inspired by the west, Japanese in their wedding receptions dressed their brides in white wedding gowns like Christians and similarly, use of white flowers are common during receptions. Wedding cakes are also decorated with edible flowers.
