LAVENDERS

Lavenders are perfumery type of perennial plants that can be easily grown. The areas mostly recommended for their flourishing and blooming cultivation are sandy and having appropriate sunny weather with less humus. Lavenders are scientifically known as Lavendula augustifolia. They belong to the family of Lamiceae. Lavenders grow in various colors; generally we find them in shades of blue, purple and even in yellow.

The non-English lavender is also known as Spanish lavenders / French lavenders. Many of other varieties are grouped under these types according to their similar characteristics. Some lavender plants grow slower and some of them grow quicker and faster, depending on the climate of that area, the soil and how they are planted.
