Quality and quantity of plant

Tropical plants thrive in a shade house use safety goggles when sharpening tools. Improve soil structure, conserve water and increase quality and quantity of all plants with mulch. Benefits of mulching cannot be over emphasized when dealing with leached, dehydrated and infertile soils in monsoon areas. Spread flattened cartons or newspaper wads around plants to stop weeds. Cover this with lawn clippings, cuttings or hay; keep mulch several centimeters away from plant stems. what is the best option for wedding florist philippines delivery by www.philippinesflowersdelivery.com/

In cold zones
Prepare soil now for tree, rose and shrubs plantings during winter while soil is still easy to work and before heavy rain and cold weather. Aim for well worked, fast draining soil with plenty of compost. In the garden bed this organic material should be 30-40 cm deep, deeper where you intend planting trees and shrubs. The vegetable garden needs a heavy compost and manure to maintain condition.
Work in a generous dressing of blood and a bone and a handful of lime per square meter if soil is sticky or sour. Do not rake over surface soil when you have finished it reduces the breaking down action of frost and rough clods. Add grass clippings and leaves to compost heap.
Water well any dry spots particularly under eaves and in areas sheltered by trees. Many herbaceous perennials will be damaged by frost shortly, so cut back where necessary. Move frost sensitive plants to sheltered spots.

Flower garden
Move early flowering chrysanthemums to a sunny back bed late this month. Trim to ground level to induce suckers from which new plants are propagated. Scatter snail bait and, in frost prone areas, protect with a light covering of straw. Divide perennials every few years. Select young outside growth for replanting, in soil enriched with compost and old manure. Tidy undivided clumps.
Allow dahlias to die down naturally to mature tubers then trim off stems to 30 cm. Leave tubers in the ground for a further few weeks unless you need space, in which case lift, with plenty of soil, and store in a shaded spot.
Insert thin green stakes in cymbidium orchid pots to support flower spikes not against the pot edge where most root tips are. Pull out any weeds and apply bait against slugs.

In tropical zone
Soil in garden beds still has enough warmth stored from summer to benefit seeds and cutting planted now. Prepare new border beds, adding plenty of compost and manure and digging over to spade’s depth.

Preparation of beds

Proper preparation of beds is essential, as perennial border plants are left undisturbed for several years. Choose sites carefully for lime haters and lime lovers. Do not grow lime haters such as azaleas near a brick wall. Even the small amount of lime washed down the wall damages the plant. Prune carnations using cutting to strike new plants. florist manila delivery in USA with the help of philippinesflowersdelivery.com/

In cold zones
Tidy perennials plants. In very frosty areas leave dead foliage, to protect the crown. Add a few perennials to your garden each year. Spring flowering annuals and perennials may be lightly dressed with complete fertilizer to strengthen before winter. Shelter late flowering chrysanthemums.

Roses
Prepare soil for rose planting as new roses arrive at nurseries early June. Choose a site that gets at least six hours. Sun daily and dig it well 30 cm deep, Break up clods and turn in plenty of compost. Add ¾ cup lime or dolomite and ¼ cup packaged rose food per square meter. Dig over again so that soil is fine and crumbly. Water and leave at least three weeks before buying and planting new roses.
Order roses now; plant from end of June to August. New gardeners should choose established varieties. Consider a trailing rose as ground cover, a climbing miniature rose for a balcony.

Shrubs and trees
Prune deciduous trees and shrubs at leaf fall burning any diseased cuttings. Prune only lightly any winter and spring flowering shrubs at the moment; major work is done after flowering. An ideal mulch for any of these is a thick covering of well-rotted stable manure and straw. Prepare tree planting sites for next month. To test drainage make a few holes 40 cm deep and inspect 24 hours after heavy rain. If there is still water in the holes, artificial drainage will be necessary. Use polythene tubing or raise planting areas 30 cm above surrounding surface.

In tropical zones
Prepare sites for climbers with a good mix of organic fertilizer and compost (climber like cool roots). Set those 40 cm away from the base of any fence then angel your support to the top. This way rain can soak them properly and there will be air space between plant and fence.

In cold zones
Tidy hedges and shrub borders. Add mulch and compost to improve stale soil. Add new shrubs to border while the conditions are still good. Fragrant luculia, Belladonna lilies, poinsettia.

Liquid Amber

This is possibly the favorite specimen tree in cooler climate gardens of Australia. The lovely sweet gum colors equally well in warm coastal districts, provided it is out of reach of flying salt spray. The trees have a terrible thirst and are greedy feeders nothing will grow around them. We forgive their outrageous social habits when they turn on a riot of colors in autumn. One tree may become palest gold or pink, another dark purple. Good colors varieties are propagated true only from root cuttings of an individual tree. So see yours in color before you buy. Most Beautiful gift baskets philippines can purchase through philippinesflowersdelivery

Maidenhair tree
It may be hard to believe, but the lovely maidenhair tree is the ancestor of all the conifers, and was believed extinct for thousands of years until it was rediscovered in some Chinese monastery gardens in the seventeenth century. It is popular in many parts of the world because of its resistance to polluted city air, remaining green and fresh from earliest spring right through to autumn when its leaves turn a rich gold. While the gingko is cold hardy, its love summer heat and its disease free. It is also fast growing and can cope with wet or dry conditions.

Ornamental grape
Many fancy leafed varieties of the common grape are grown in home gardens, both for the cool shade of their summer foliage and their summer foliage and their autumn color. Don’t expect very edible grapes from them but the cool season display makes food for the soul, even in warm temperate climates. Like the fruiting grape, these vines can be cut back hard after leaf fall, and will easily cover a small tree or column in one season. In humid areas, grapes are subject to mildew and should be dusted regularly with sulphur or zineb.

Virginia creeper
Here is the true Virginia creeper. It comes from the eastern United States, right down the Florida and Texas. It is a higher, looser climber than the Japanese ivy, will shin up trees and fences, often with aerial roots appearing from its branches. High in the air it catches the autumn chills early and puts on a riotous show of colors which may last for months. The leaves have five leaflets and are normally a dull. Dark green until autumn. There are also small, grape like fruits, little more than one centimeter in diameter. Every one favorite liquidambar turns on an autumn riot of colors.

Roses

Dig over empty beds, add well-rotted compost and allow to settle before replanting. Lift and store dahlias as they finish flowering. Start preparing a rose bed in an open sunny, well drained site. Where drainage is a problem, add a 15 cm layer of crushed bricks or coarse blue metal at the base of each hole and make beds 30 cm high. When established roses stop flowering and become a mass of dead woods, simply select the best new shoot growing from above stock (usually just above ground level). With pruning saw cut off every part of rose except new shoot; prune to level four buds. You will not kill it: new shoots appear giving a transformed bush. Fertilize well with blood and bone. How to send flowers to philippines in discounted rate through www.philippinesflowersdelivery.com/

Shrubs and trees
Remove spent hibiscus flowers regularly check over deciduous tree before leaves fall, cutting off dead growth. Plants evergreen trees and shrubs if water is available over the first 12 months. Prepare sites, making sure drainage is adequate. Plant at same depth as in container and water in afterwards. Liquid seaweeds is a safe starting fertilizer.

Bulbs
Plant lilies as soon as bulbs are available. Work leaf mold and rotted cow manure into friable lime free soil. Lilies like afternoon protection from sun and a well-drained site. Leave several years before lifting and dividing site. Leave several years before lifting and dividing. Summer bulbs, such as gladiolus, watsonia and galtonia can be lifted and stored. Discard old, dry or diseased bulbs and store healthy bulbs in a dry place.

Lawns
this month is ideal for lawn planting. Preparation is all important. Sow varieties such as Kentucky bluegrass, fine leafedrye glasses, fescues, clovers and bent, as they germinate quickly now. Buffalo couch and Santa Anna couch are best planted late spring.

Established lawn
On established lawns, raise your mower height for winter mowing to 15mm. Lightly fertilize lawn to carry it through winter months.

Planting guide for April

Flowers for Home and Garden

Many trees and shrubs are showing autumn colors so select favorite to plant during winter months. Prepare beds to be planted in water with trees, shrubs, or plants such as roses with compost or well or rotted farmyard manure; allow to settle before planting.

Flower garden
looking forward to spectacular chrysanthemums? Check that stakes are firm, and if necessary add an extra supporting tie beneath opening blooms. Disbud to one bud per stem if you prefer quality to quantity. Early dahlias now look tatty. Cut back to 30 cm high so all growing energy goes into building plump new tubers for next season. If you need space, lift them out and heel in somewhere at back of garden. Label each clump. what is the best option for wedding florist philippines delivery by www.philippinesflowersdelivery.com/

Perennials, such as perennials phlox, aster, monarda etc. to a few centimeters tall. Deadhead flowering annuals such as zinnia, marigold, and globe amaranthto ensure continuation of bloom. Remove spent annuals. Iceland poppies, coming along, flower best from heavy clumps and are gross feeders. They like shallow planting with roots well spread in heavily enriched soil. Surround each plant with compost, and keep up water plus fortnightly feeding of liquid plant food. Polyanthus need the same treatment.

Flowers build up strong
Prune pelargoniums now. It seems early, but sacrifice those last flowers to build up strong, bushy growth and increase next year’s flowers yield. Keep pinching out new stems to 10 cm all autumns. Cuttings taken early March many be ready for a larger pot mind April. Check for new top growth and roots.

In tropical zones
Make room for sweet wivelsfield, a dianthus resembling sweet William but much harder for a warm climate. Flowers last well indoors. If soil seems heavy, add small quantity of sand or vermiculite. Cactus dahlia is best for cutting. Pinch out central bud of a cluster, and a group of flowers grows ups in it place with stems long enough for vases. Though dahlia blooms first appear in midsummer the best are in autumn, when dahlia shows are usually held. When flowering finishes. Leave tubers in soil until June, then lift and store in a cool, shady place. Add a little moisture but avoid wetting.

In cold zones
keep annuals and perennials blooming by removing spent flowers. A light dressing of complete fertilizer helps prolong flowering period. After flowering finishes, clear out summer and autumn annuals and prepare soil for spring bulbs and planting.

Flowers Layering

Layering causes a stem to form roots while attached to the mother plant. Once rooted, stem is detached and planted. It is a good way to get a few large shrubs and there are several methods. All exclude light from the section of stem you wish to root. In shrubs that produce many cane like stem from a crowded base, this is done by burying part of a cane.

Division
this method best suits perennials, bulbs, some orchids and a few small suckering shrubs. Many perennials are not long lived and replacing them with young divisions every 3-4 years ensures lush growth and plenty of flowers. Division is normally carried out during or just after the annual dormancy. Most Beautiful gift baskets philippines can purchase through philippinesflowersdelivery

Around the garden in April
April garden is a real pleasure. Days are fine and sunny without summers oppressive heat and humidity. Weeding is the most pressing task.  Get all weeds out now before they set seeds Plant trees, shrubs, bulbs. Virtually anything planted now is almost certain to get off to a good start. The earth it still warm and should remain so for another month, allowing time for roots to become established before the winter sets in. Spring bulbs should be planted this month if you haven’t already done so, in well worked, well drained, rich soil.

Autumn colors
if planting deciduous trees for autumn color, look for them now but do not buy until they show colors. One plant often produces a more spectacular show than another of the same species. In mountainous districts and inland, deciduous trees colors up now but coastal readers may have to wait till May or even June. Unfortunately few trees colors well in higher coastal temperatures except perhaps pistachio, liquidambar, Chinese tallow tree and ginkgo.
Find a place for a cherry tree. Beautiful autumn foliage is followed in spring by a wealth of superb flowers. Prunus serrulata Ukon has large, semi double chartreuse flowers; prunus sieboldii is a smaller tree bearing large, semi double pale pink blossom. Do not overlook the popular Fuji and J.V Vetch cultivars.

In tropical zone
April means a real breathing space for the Gardner. Tending seedlings from March sown seeds starts them well for fine blooms early spring. Plan and lay out new gardens now to avoid summer heat and have your garden semi established by spring. Select short, thick stemmed native plants rather than tall, spindly ones and, if necessary give them a shaping prune when planting.

YELLOW IS FOR BRIGHTNESS

Flowers are the most significant gift from Mother Nature as they are the main source of perfume and color in our lives. They are the most used item to be given as a gift, the reason for this use is not only its beauty and fragrance but their language too. From the beginning of time some expressions are linked with the color of flowers. Some shades of red were used to express love and some of them say something about friendship. Some colors symbolize anger and some help us lower down that anger. Yellow is the color that can be found in almost all types of flowers. The following are some yellow flowers that make your garden full of life. How to send flowers to philippines in discounted rate through www.philippinesflowersdelivery.com/

THE POPULAR CLIMBERS

The world of today is becoming a concrete jungle , with exception of only those places that love nature and are struggling hard to stay close to it by working day and night to hybridize many species of plants to make them hardy for the environmental changes the world is going through .The modern world is trying to keep the word green by developing certain types of plant that are capable of growing fast even if planted in contained places like large sized containers .The plants that are mostly planted in containers but have the ability to grow fast are climbers, such plants do not have strong stems that could hold them for long without any support so they are usually planted at places where providing a support for the climbers is easy. The following climbers are very popular among the gardeners of modern times. what is the best option for wedding florist philippines delivery by www.philippinesflowersdelivery.com/

PERENNIAL FLOWERING VINES

Vines are the type of plants that are not sturdy and instead of growing erect they climb and creep and so need a support at the place they are planted. Just like regular flowers the vines are also categorized as perennials and annuals. In certain types of landscape the vines suit more than the other plants ,especially the gardens that have less space on leveled ground and have blank places here and there that need to be filled to complete the beautiful landscape that a garden should actually have. The following are some of the most popular perennial vines. florist manila delivery in USA with the help of philippinesflowersdelivery.com/
TRUMPET VINE
Campsis radicans is the scientific name for the most popular of all perennial flowering vines that is more commonly known as the trumpet vine. It is an easy to grow vine that is also known as trumpet creeper. There are a few gardeners who think that trumpet creeper is invasive in nature and can take over the garden if not maintained properly, but the majority of the gardeners deny this and like to grow the trumpet vine in every garden they are responsible of planting. The trumpet vines can self-seed and the growth is very fast but its invasive behavior can be controlled by proper care and pruning.

The beautiful flowers of trumpet vine are available in variety of colors like white ,yellow ,orange ,and red and peach. The blooming of the flowers starts in early days of summer and continues in days of fall too. The trumpet vine is hardy in zones 4-9.the only aspect of the growth of plant that needs extra care is its pruning. Wedding at le tollbooth

Dine in the intimate weavers, River room or the marquee fabulous menus to suit every style and occasion.

Fashionable flora
Bridal designer charlotte balbier and beau teddy married in an all-out glamorous day filled with dreamy pink details.

The atmosphere
From the moment we drove through the gates of Iscoyd park, I feel in love. The look of our day was very much my style pink and gold are my favorite colors and I love how they complement each other. Luckily, Teddy didn’t mind! We wanted an exciting, romantic and glamour’s day which would leave our guests with magical memories.
what is the best option for wedding florist philippines delivery by www.philippinesflowersdelivery.com/

The look
Designing my own wedding dress was one of the hardest things love ever had to do. My mother was a great help and gave me support every time I had a melt down over it. It took me a year and 15 nearly gowns before I created two dresses I wore, just a few months before the wedding. My eight bridesmaids wore midnight Blue gowns which I designed for each of them individually. My inspiration was Old Hollywood, and I “Designing my own wedding dress was one of the hardest things I have ever had to do.”
Wanted my girls to look red carpet ready with marabou feather wraps and pearl and diamante cuffs. I also designed the silk and tulle dresses of my two flower girls, who looked adorable with their oversized bows and marabou capes with pom-poms. All of our bouquets were finished with trailing ribbons to create natural movement.

The details
We wanted to transform the marquee into a magical wonderland so we dressed it with chandeliers adorned with flowers, as well as wall of mirrors and hundreds of candles. The floral arrangements comprised masses of nudes, blush, peach, pink and ivory colored blooms to create real wow factor. Our beautiful cake was a bespoke four tiered design with soft pink icing decorated with handmade sugar flowers and our personalized crest.

My favorite moment
I loved the vows, speeches and seeing the look on our guests face when they saw the marquee for the first time!

My tip for brides to be
A weeding planner is worth every penny.

Statement blooms
We chose flowers based on Charlotte’s signature style,” says florist Mat. “We filled the marquee with blooms in her favorite colors of pink and gold. The arrangements received an amazing response, they make such an impact en masse.”

The bouquets

Charlotte’s trailing design included “Quicksand” Sahara and Sweet Avalanche, roses, garden roses, white viburnum and open tulips. As each of the bridesmaids wore different style dresses, their matching’s bouquets of “Quicksand” Sahara and Sweet Avalanche roses, lisianthus, spray roses, hydreangeas, fressias, scabious and tulips tied the outfits together. Tie trailing ribbons to your bouquets for added movement.

Eclectic Cool
Kate and Rob said I do in a flower filled venue with charming, Whimsical décor.

The atmosphere
Palm house is a beautiful Victorian glasshouse set in Sefton Park, close to where I grew up. We couldn’t think of anywhere else we would rather have our wedding. The glass building was filled with lush flowers and trees; it was the perfect base for the joyous, street party vibe. We mixed blush pink and mint green with gold, apricot and peach, and bought our whimsical style to life by combining feathers. Miniature gold animals and natural glasses with our colorful décor. There was a fun daytime atmosphere awash with color, and the venue looked magical when lit up at night.

The look
I hoped for an equally eclectic style for my dress and fell in love with the blush, ruffled design of my waters gown immediately. I also wanted nontraditional dresses for my six bridesmaids and was thrilled when I stumbled across Armour Sans Anguish, a clothing company which handcrafts garments from recycled materials, ensuring no two pieces are exactly alike, our flower girls wore peach dresses and floral crowns as they carried handmade here comes the brides signs down the aisle.

The details
The venue was already stunning, but we wanted to put our own stamp on it. We added bunting, some handmade and some borrowed, pom-poms, gold balloons, lit K and R initials for the dance floor and a ribbon curtain to use as a photo booth backdrop. I have a creative streak and wanted to play around with my collection of things. I made table runners with floral fabric and lined the tables with flowers in vintage swan planters and large blue brandy glasses. The tables were completely filled to capacity with interesting things to look at.

The Flower atmosphere

we got engaged in New York and chose to combine elements of the city with art deco styling. We wanted a fun and lighthearted day, touched with the glitz of the Great Gatsby. It was a bright day and we held the ceremony outside, with the stunning views from the Saddle worth Hotel as our backdrop. Inside the reception room had a darker, more sophisticated feel with black chairs and linen which matched our glamorous theme. We chose to compliment this with dusky pink and peach.

The look
As soon as I tried on one of lan Stuart’s dresses I knew he was the designer for me. I love the antique coloring and the variety and materials used to make my gown. It was rushed and gathered, with Chantilly lace pooled at the bottom of create a train. My six bridesmaids wore different style dresses in peach, gold and champagne hues which tied in beautifully with my gown. They each wore a wrist corsage made from pearl bracelets, lace and vintage brooches.
Most Beautiful gift baskets philippines can purchase through philippinesflowersdelivery

The details
our reception room was large with high ceilings so we ensured our table centers varied in height to add interest. Our florist used pastel roses mixed with dark green foliage to create a vintage color palette. To add texture and variety to the arrangements, I also asked her to incorporate lace, pearls and brooches. Each table was named after a famous New York landmark and our cake was modelled after the empire State Building and covered in white chocolate and edible lace and pearls.
“We got engaged in New York and chose to combine elements of the city with art deco styling.”

My favorite moment
it was wonderful spending a relaxed morning of the wedding getting ready with mu mum and bridesmaids.

My tips for brides to be
Invite only who you want to invite and don’t succumb to family pressures. We wanted our friends there which meant we had to cut back on family numbers. As they say, friends are the family you choose and they really made our day special.
Save money by swapping maids bouquets for wrist corsages.

Feeling rosy
Filipa carried a classic bouquet of roses in a vintage color palette, these included “Sahara Quicksand” Amnesia, green hydrangeas. The bouquet was finished with lace, pearls and netting. The table center featured the same rose, with the addition of “Eden” spray roses and elegant cream stock.

Social Flowers

The phone and tablet charging stations might be a huge trend for 2016, but who wants a bunch of ugly wires on display? Florists are creating flower bed arrangements which conceal the cables so your device can, quite literally, rest on a bed of roses. Floral genius.

4: Sweet things
The painterly trend looks set to stay, and we love the latest canvas: cake! This design has orange roses, gerberas, sweet peas and thistle painted on a perfect backdrop of white royal icing. Hand painted “water color” cake.

5:Hair bouquet
The circlet trend has Online ordering flowers in manila and San Francisco grown into a full on petal posy this summer. Florist Holly chapple says she wanted to create something Avant grade, soft and romantic (left). “I came up with the design in my garden,” she says. It features miniature blue berries, blooming vines and mock orange from the garden, flowers from my tulip poplar tree and locally grown ranunculus and poppies.”

6:Woodland wonders
Natural and rustic weddings with a little glamour woven in are big news, so this design by Chelsea Lee flowers is the perfect example. “We wanted to add elegance to our farm backdrop without taking away from the natural beauty of the setting, says Chelsea Taylor. We hug wreaths of grapevine, “silver Dollar” eucalyptus, blue eryngium and “Juliet” David Austin roses to the branches of a big, beautiful oak tree.
