Our venue reminded us of a secret garden; ethereal and charming. We both wanted and outdoor wedding and How Caple Court Gardens was one of the few places in our area which offered that option, along with an indoor ceremony rooms should it rain. Although you did not have a set color scheme, when we selected the flowers we were drawn towards natural tones highlighted with fresh peach and pink hues.
The look
I knew I wanted a Watters dress as I love the ruffles and ruching on the designs. When I slipped into my gown I knew it was the one; I loved the texture of the raw silk and the edging panels in the skirt. My bridesmaids looked stunning in dresses from French connection and we all wore fresh flowers in our hair while carrying posies of peonies, roses and lisianthus. Pete loved his suit a three piece dark blue design which he could wear again after the wedding.
The details
The venue was so beautiful it didn’t need much in the way of extra décor. It already had fairy lights and silk flowers, which we kept, then added our own fresh flower displays and giant balloons. We also posted olive trees outside the ceremony room, which were later moved into the barn and given to our mums as thank you gifts.

Our venue reminded us of a secret garden; ethereal and charming. We both wanted and outdoor wedding and How Caple Court Gardens was one of the few places in our area which offered that option, along with an indoor ceremony rooms should it rain. The look
I knew I wanted a Watters dress as I love the ruffles and ruching on the designs. When I slipped into my gown I knew it was the one; I loved the texture of the raw silk and the edging panels in the skirt. Flower - The Look
We did not choose the easy option! We opted for a palette of sea foam green,
coral, cream and grey tones, I loved how they looked together.
Adam wore a blue suit with matching waistcoat, which he looked very handsome in. Sourcing the bridesmaid’s dresses was very stressful, as finding affordable, different sized dresses in the color we wanted was no easy task! I finally found great dresses online from as US store, ordered slightly larger sizes then had them altered when they arrived. We wanted to combine a quirky vintage tea party with a bright, summer inspired color scheme. Set in picturesque surroundings, Whalton village Hall had a floor to ceiling window which provided a beautiful backdrop to the top table. Even without decoration, the interior felt bright and airy, and provided us with a blank canvas to decorate with our own personal touches.

My Alfred Angelo dress was light, and the simple but elegant shape was exactly what I’d wanted. I loved the idea of having mismatched bridesmaids dresses, so each of my seven girls chose their own navy blue gown paired with yellow shoes to add a splash of colors. Stu wore a grey suit with a navy blue tie and yellow socks. His buttonhole comprised a yellow rose, White veronica and craspedia and craspedia tied with twine.
The details
We hug yellow, pink and peach tissue paper pomp - pomp and lanterns from the ceiling, decorated glass jars with hessian, lace and ribbon, and filled these with colorful blooms which we displayed around the venue. The vintage crockery dotted between the jars only added to the colorful arrangements. We made a lot of the decorations ourselves. Stu made chalkboards which our friend Kat decorated, and I stamped our guests name onto luggage tags and tied one to each napkin with the handmade tissue papers flower. I also made left fortune cookies for each guest, with a chocolate and massage inside each one.

The details
We hug yellow, pink and peach tissue paper pomp - pomp and lanterns from the ceiling, decorated glass jars with hessian, lace and ribbon, and filled these with colorful blooms which we displayed around the venue. The vintage crockery dotted between the jars only added to the colorful arrangements. We made a lot of the decorations ourselves. Stu made chalkboards which our friend Kat decorated, and I stamped our guests name onto luggage tags and tied one to each napkin with the handmade tissue papers flower. I also made left fortune cookies for each guest, with a chocolate and massage inside each one.

Beautiful Atmosphere By Flowers
We wanted a traditional British wedding, and Hedsor House took our
breath away as soon as we saw it. We were keen to have a country house venue
and liked the fact our celebrations would be spread across several rooms. We
opted for a modern vintage vibe; although we hired several retro accessories,

The look
We both love blue hydrangeas and this became the basis for our color palette. We found beautiful dresses for my four bridesmaids, who each picked different styles, to coordinate with their blue bouquets. I helped create my wedding dress alongside my good friends and designer. Tsemaye Binitie. It took me several opportunities at other bridal shops to realize what I wanted: something plain yet dramatic, and fitted with a low back. The details
Lain and I had 10 other weddings to attend that year, so wanted to include lots of touches which would ensure our day was memorable. We hired a vintage bike as part of the décor, and added oversized balloons as well as a vintage lemonade dispenser. Our favors were chocolate lips and moustaches from Creighton’s. I put a lot of effort into creating a sweet buffet and ordered sweets buffet and ordered sweets in coordinating colors from Canada and America. We also hired giant light up letters in our initials for the dance floor.
My favorite moment
I remember feeling most happy as I was walking back down the aisle after the ceremony. I was so proud, I couldn’t stop smiling.
My tip for brides to be…
Don’t be afraid to get creative, as there are aspects of the day which can be made less expensive with a little DIY, just be sure to start early.
The flowers
The bouquets to contrast with the bridesmaids blue poises, Lisa carried a pure white bouquet compressing white hydrangeas, roses and ranunculus.
The table centers
The couples floral arrangements were a mix to tall and short displays, to add interest to the room. The tall vases contained blue, white and green hydrangeas and ivory roses, while the shorter arrangements contained the same blooms in vintage style jam jars.
